Meet the Team
Renzo Esposito – Director, Cinematographer, and Co-Editor
Renzo Esposito is a queer filmmaker and cinematographer from Argentina, now based in New York City. His work explores vulnerability, identity, and transformation—often rooted in the poetic, the personal, and the in-between. Whether behind the camera or leading a production, he brings a multidisciplinary approach shaped by years of blending art, technology, and storytelling.
A recent graduate of NYU Gallatin, Renzo designed a concentration in cinematography, philosophy, and diversity. He is a full-tuition GUIDE Scholar and recipient of the Gallatin Human Rights Fellowship, which led him to volunteer with Diálogo Diverso in Ecuador. There, he began filming Queer Latitudes, documenting the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ migrants and activists across borders.
His previous documentary Talk Louder, about Holocaust survivor Michael Bornstein, has won over 10 international awards and was praised for its emotional depth and human rights focus. With Queer Latitudes, Renzo continues his commitment to stories that challenge dominant narratives and amplify voices that are too often unheard.
Alice Norrell – Co-Editor
Alice Norrell self-identifies as a queer biracial white and Latina woman. She is a recent graduate from the NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study where she concentrated on the ethics of storytelling, documentary filmmaking, and the Spanish language. She has pursued academic, personal, and professional projects in film production and is especially passionate about uplifting the voices of women, queer, and Latino/a/e/x communities in her work.
Alexander Guano Monteros – Co-Producer Ecuador Chapter & Human Rights Advocate
Expert in diversity, gender, and human rights, is a prominent advocate for human rights in Ecuador, focusing particularly on promoting and defending sex-gender diversity. During his tenure as Undersecretary for Diversities, he played a crucial role in creating and implementing public policies aimed at preventing and eradicating discrimination against the LGBTI+ population.
Among his most notable achievements, he led the implementation of the Action Plan for LGBTI+ Diversities (2022-2025), the first comprehensive public policy in Ecuador designed to safeguard the rights of this community. This plan includes concrete actions such as the nationwide establishment of "Gender and Diversities Roundtables" and the strengthening of historical social organizations through training and resource provision. Additionally, he promoted the collection of official data on the living conditions of LGBTI+ individuals, a vital tool for designing informed and effective governmental strategies. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's in Research on Human Rights, Democracy, and International Justice at the University of Valencia, Spain.
